| searching using keywords |
Type the word or phrase you wish to search for into the keyword box and click on the Search button or press the Enter key on your keyboard. The search results will list only those files that contain the specified word or phrase.
Follow these guidelines when using keywords:
Consecutive words are treated as a phrase; matching files will have the
same words in the same order. (Example: development director will list
only those files where the two words appear together.) You can use
either uppercase or lowercase characters because the keyword field is
case-insensitive. Punctuation marks such as the period (.), colon (:),
semicolon (;), and comma (,) are ignored during a search.
It is possible to be even more specific in your keyword searches, by using Boolean operators and Wildcards.
Use the word "and" to search for files where all of the desired words or phrases appear. (Example: development and community outreach will result in files containing both the word "development" and the phrase "community outreach".)
Use the word "or" to search for files where any of the desired words or phrases appear. (Example: development or executive director or publication will result in files containing the word "development" or the phrase "executive director" or the word "publication".)
Use the word "not" to search for files where the desired word or phrase does not appear. (Example: development and not outreach will result in files containing the word "development" but not the word "outreach".)
Use an asterisk (*) as a wildcard to search for files that contain the desired prefix text followed by any other suffix text. (Example: develop* will result in files containing the word "develop", "developed", "developer", "development", "developing", etc.)
